B-Marketplace - Settings

B-Marketplace Settings lets you review and manage the general commercial, VAT, and fee settings used for B-Marketplace.

Use this page to:

  • Check whether your rates are shared as BAR or NET
  • Review and update base commission
  • Review and update flexi commission, if used
  • Check how VAT is applied
  • Check how fees are applied
  • Confirm when the settings were last updated

These are general B-Marketplace settings. Partner-specific settings are managed from B-Marketplace > Distribution

Before you start

Before updating B-Marketplace settings, confirm the commercial setup agreed for your property.

This is especially important before changing BAR, NET, or commission values, because these settings affect how your rates are shared through B-Marketplace.

Open B-Marketplace Settings

  1. Log in to your Property Account
  2. Go to B-Marketplace
  3. Select Settings

You will see the General Settings page.

Review Commercial Settings

Use Commercial Settings to check how your rates and commissions are shared through B-Marketplace.

You may see categories such as:

  • ROOMS
  • GENERAL SETTINGS
  • PLAN SETTINGS #1

Update commission settings

  1. Go to B-Marketplace > Settings
  2. In Commercial Settings, find the category you want to update
  3. Check whether BAR or NET is selected
  4. Update the base commission percentage
  5. Update the flexi commission percentage, if needed
  6. Click Save

What each commercial setting means

  • BAR - partners receive your public rate before commission is deducted
  • NET - partners receive your rate after commission has already been applied
  • Base Commission - the standard commission percentage used for B-Marketplace distribution
  • Flexi Commission - an optional additional commission layer, usually used for campaigns, promotions, or short-term incentives
  • Last Update - shows when the setting was last updated
  • Information icon - shows additional update details, if available

Important: Always confirm whether the property should use BAR or NET before changing commission values.

Check VAT settings

Use Tax Management - VAT to review how VAT is handled for B-Marketplace.

  1. Go to B-Marketplace > Settings
  2. Scroll to Tax Management - VAT
  3. Check the Partner Require column
  4. Compare it with Your Setting
  5. Update Included or Rate Effect, if editable
  6. Check the Last Update column after making changes

You may see:

  • Partner Require - showing whether partners expect the amount before or after taxes
  • Your Setting - showing the VAT setup currently used by your property
  • Update To - used to update whether VAT is included, if editable
  • Rate Effect - showing how VAT affects the rate sent through B-Marketplace
  • Last Update - showing when the VAT row was last updated
  • Information icon - showing additional update details, if available

Check fee settings

Use Tax Management - FEES to review how fees are handled for B-Marketplace.

  1. Go to B-Marketplace > Settings
  2. Scroll to Tax Management - FEES
  3. Check the Partner Require column
  4. Compare it with Your Setting
  5. Update Included or Rate Effect, if editable
  6. Check the Last Update column after making changes

You may see:

  • Partner Require - showing whether partners expect the amount before or after fees
  • Your Setting - showing the fee setup currently used by your property
  • Update To - used to update whether fees are included, if editable
  • Rate Effect - showing how fees affect the rate sent through B-Marketplace
  • Last Update - showing when the fee row was last updated
  • Information icon - showing additional update details, if available

Rate Effect options

You may see these options in VAT or Fees:

  • Add charges - adds the tax or fee on top of the rate
  • Remove charges - deducts the tax or fee from the rate
  • No effect - does not adjust the rate

How to check it worked

After updating B-Marketplace Settings:

  1. Stay on B-Marketplace > Settings
  2. Check the row you updated
  3. Confirm the selected values are still showing
  4. Check the Last Update column
  5. Use the information icon, if available, to confirm the latest update details
