What this article helps you do
Use this article to complete the B-Portal setup wizard for Non-Accommodation accounts.
The setup wizard helps you configure your portal, select which products will supply your property data, connect PayDocker, and confirm your payment terms.
This article covers:
- Opening the setup wizard
- Completing your site name and branding
- Selecting your property data source
- Connecting your PayDocker account
- Checking the payment terms warning
Before you start
Make sure you have:
- Access to your Bakuun account
- B-Portal activated from the Store
- At least one activated product that can supply property data, either B-Connect or B-Aggregate
- A PayDocker account ready to connect
Open the setup wizard
After activating B-Portal from the Store, the setup wizard opens automatically in a new tab.
You do not need to manually navigate to the setup wizard after activation.
If you return to the Store later and click B-Portal again:
- If no portal has been started, the setup wizard opens from the beginning
- If portal creation is in progress, the setup wizard resumes from the step you left off
- If portal creation is completed, you are taken to the portal listing page
The original Store tab remains open.
Complete Step 1 - Site Name
Enter the required site details for your portal.
This usually includes your site name, site description, and welcome message.
Select Next once all required fields are completed.
Complete Step 2 - Branding
Set your portal branding.
This can include your portal colours, logo, and favicon.
Select Next once your branding details are completed.
Complete Step 3 - Properties
The Properties step is where you select which activated products will supply property data to your B-Portal.
Only products activated on your account will show.
Available product options may include:
- B-Connect
- B-Aggregate
If a product is not activated on your account, it will not appear in this step.
Share data with B-Portal
If product data has not been shared yet, the product row will show a Share data button.
Select Share data to allow that product to supply property data to B-Portal.
Once data is shared, the button changes to Shared and the checkbox becomes available.
Select the products to display properties
After data is shared, tick the checkbox for the product you want to use.
The checkbox label will show which product will display properties in your portal.
The Next button will stay disabled until at least one product is selected.
Complete Step 4 - PayDocker
Connect your PayDocker account.
If your PayDocker account is already connected, the setup wizard will show the connection status and allow you to continue.
Select Next once the connection is confirmed.
Complete Step 5 - Payment Terms
Review your payment terms before completing the setup wizard.
You may see a warning under the Payment Grace Period field.
This warning means that if your grace period is longer than the property’s payment terms, you may need to pay the property before collecting payment from your buyer.
If the buyer does not pay on time, you may absorb the loss.
Review the payment terms carefully before continuing.
How to confirm it worked
Once setup is completed:
- Your selected property data source is saved
- Your portal setup is completed
- You are taken to the portal listing page
- Returning to B-Portal from the Store will open the portal listing page
What to do if something is missing
- If B-Connect or B-Aggregate does not show in the Properties step, check that the product is activated on your account.
- Only activated products appear in the setup wizard.
- If the Next button is disabled in the Properties step, check that at least one available product checkbox is selected.
If you are not sure which product should supply your property data, contact support.
